Explain the classification of microcomputers.

Friends, today in this article  I am going to give you information about microcomputers  in a very good way. So let’s start.

Classification of Microcomputers

At present, microcomputers are divided into the following parts –

  1. Personal Computer

2. Work Station Computer

  1. Single Board Computer
  2. Single Chip or Microcontroller
  3. Personal Computer – 32/64 bit microprocessor is used in it. System memory 32-256MB video screen monitor up to 24″ is commonly used in it. High density floppy disk, hard disk capacity more than 10GB CD-ROM is used under this. Personal computer is used for internet sources, medical records, business, etc. records.

2. Work Station Computer – This is a format of personal computer. In this, computer instructions are reduced. Through this, separate software programs are used for civil work, financial related works. Through this, CAD (Computer Aided Design) and Auto CAD, CAE, CAM, etc. software are used.

3. Single Board Microcomputer-It uses 8/16-bit microprocessor, 256 bytes to 8KB memory while the keyboard used in it is HEX Type. SSD and LED are used as output devices in it. Single board microcomputers are used in universities, laboratories and industries.

4. Single Chip Microcontroller – It has memory of 256 byte microprocessor, 1-8KB ROM is used to connect I/O devices. Traffic can be controlled through this.
