Air injection
Under this, an air compressor is required which presses the air to a pressure of about 70 kg/cm. The fuel is atomized by sending a spray of compressed air into the nozzle, which enters the cylinder. The fuel is sent to the nozzle by a pump. In this way, the fuel reaches the cylinder in an atomized state and burns after spreading well. But due to the additional requirement of the compressor and its complex design, this method is not popular.
Airless injection
It is also called solid injection or mechanical injection or hydraulic injection.
In this injection, mainly a fuel pump and injector or nozzle atomizer are used.
This injection is of two types, direct injection and divided combustion chamber injection.
