Write a short note on solar greenhouse?

Friends, today in this article we will learn  about solar greenhouse.  I am going to give you information about all this in a very good way. So let’s start.

Solar Green House

By using solar energy we can reduce greenhouse gases like CO₂, CO etc. In a thermal power plant, fuel is used which passes through harmful gases like CO, oxygen, sulphur, CO2, SO₂ and NOx. The absorber refrigerant absorbs heat and cooling is supplied by the coils around it. The refrigerant vapour is now absorbed by the solvent mixture which comes out of the generator and this vapour is diluted in refrigerant concentration. Then the solution goes back to the generator with the help of a pump. This is how the process is completed. The high solution goes to the generator through the absorber which improves the efficiency of the process. Some main refrigerant absorber groups like ammonia-water (NH3-H₂O) and water-lithium bromide (H₂O-LiBr) etc. are mainly used. Its efficiency ranges from 0.5 to 0.8 but it is costly. Carbon is emitted in the environment around us, which is a harmful gas for the atmosphere and human health and it also increases the greenhouse effect.

Whereas no fossil fuel is used in power plants generated from solar energy, hence no polluted gases are emitted. Hence, greenhouse effect can be reduced by solar energy.

cold greenhouses

These are built in cold regions. Solar energy is used to heat the greenhouse. In such a greenhouse, a double wall of glass is built on the south side to bring in maximum solar energy. The north wall is painted white from inside. Provision for energy storage is also made in the greenhouse. Windows are also installed on the east and west walls.

summer greenhouses

These are built in areas where the temperature of the atmosphere is much higher than the temperature required for the growth of plants. Here the design of the greenhouse is such that its temperature does not increase much. Generally, in such greenhouses, windows are installed on the south and north walls. These windows keep the greenhouse cool through independent convection process. In the second method, slots are made in the windows through which air flows. The air is cooled with an evaporator pad and sent to the slots. A heat-insulator (which can also be removed) is installed on the south wall. Solar radiation occurs from the east and west walls. Reflective paint is applied from inside on the north wall. Fans can be used as per requirement to keep the greenhouse cool.
