Disadvantages

  1. Wind energy can be used only in places where the wind blows at a constant speed throughout the year.
  2. This requires an additional gear box to control the speed of the rod of the wind machine.
  3. The equipment installed to generate wind energy has more rotating parts. Hence, it requires more repairs from time to time.

4. There is a possibility of equipment producing wind energy getting destroyed due to friction.
